    Hey all,

I have a custom built 2.2 Dual core 2GB Win 7 Pro 32bit system which will randomly freeze on me. Sometimes it happens during startup, other time it happens when I open a program, other times it happens after twenty minutes or so. Not sure why it is doing this, I did move from CA to OK and the computer went through a few bumps, but the HDDs and Memory check out ok so not sure whats going on. Malware Bytes and AVG show clean scans.

    Any help is appreciated.

1- Please click HERE to download HijackThis.
    2- Run the program.
3- Click on the Main Menu button if not already there.
4- Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
5- Copy and paste the scan log from Notepad into your next reply.
6- Do not "Fix" anything unless advised to do so.

    For Windows 7 and Vista:

If Windows is denying access to the Hosts file, be sure to run HijackThis as Administrator or disable the UAC first.

I have not tried it in safe mode, simply because many times it will not freeze in normal mode, and it is not a certain time period where it will freeze.

I got an 0x0F4 error as I was trying to access Google Earth and Firefox. Do not know of any fix, as many of the fixes are for XP or 7 64bit, but I have 32bit and this is not a constant occurance.

Still having major problems with my computer. I moved cross country and have installed a wireless chip instead of using the onboard LAN. Also, there seems to be a large amount of HDD activity, as my connection light is constantly on, however there is no activity in the HDD monitor gadget I have. Firefox seems to crash often. Just very frustrated. Malware and AVG scans come out clean.
