Can Power point be run on Windows 98? I ran across a program from Microsoft which was suppose to support this - but it didn't work....So can Power Point (edition 2003) be run on Win 98 by adding any programs, or must I get a more recent OS program ? This program also reqires a 300+ mhz processor - mine is a AMD -K -6 is this compatible?

    Thanks in advance!

I tried installing Word Viewer 2003, Excel Viewer 2003, and PowerPoint Viewer 2003 in my Windows 98SE desktop and was advised that a newer Windows operating system was needed to install these viewers. This would lead me to believe that Office 2003 won't work with Windows 98SE.

Well, the 2003 version sure didn't want to install in my 98SE computers. I'm back to using the 97/2000 version.

PowerPoint Viewer 2003 is supposed to run on Windows 98SE or later, but not the other 2003 viewers (Excel or Word) which all require 2000 or XP.

As with the full version of PowerPoint 2003, it requires Windows 2000 or XP

But the 98SE for the PP viewer could be an error on the MS site perhaps, as I would not have thought it likely either.

Okay, you're right. PowerPoint Viewer 2003 did work in it. It was Word Viewer 2003 and Excel Viewer 2003 that didn't want to install.
