win 98 files

    I thought there was a way to save a file so no one could access it but you. Can you tell me how to do it?

    windows 98 really isnt that secure.

    you can hide the file simply by selecting properties and selecting hidden.

    there are also programs out there (such as PGP) which will encrypt the file for you...but if you really want security you need to upgrade to a better os (linux flaver, windows 2k, windows xp, etc)

    Copy the file to a couple of floppy disks(so you also have a backup copy), then stash those floppy disks away somewhere. You can now completely remove the file from your computer.:)
