win 98 se numbers

    What and where do i type in to get the numbers that i used to install my w98se software? I can't remember what to do to recover those numbers , or can someone provide me with a set that works? I've seen them on my setup, forgot how to recover -

    Is the system still running ? If so then download Magic jellybean to retrieve it.

    i just used it, and it worked, whoopie - thanks , do you have any easy instructions on how to un install, then re install win 98 se and how do i use the key numbers?
    I have never done it, but would like to know how, just in case- thank s

    The only way to uninstall Windows 98SE is to format the hard disk. This will rempve everything on the hard disk and all data will be lost. it is a last resort thing only. If you think windows is corrupted then you can do a reinstall over the windows in the PC. This is done by inserting the CD and when the window opens click on Browse CD. When the next window opens click on setup.exe and the reinstaLL will start and just follow the instruction. This almost always cures the problem and is a lot easier since you do not have to install everything. In that case you will not need the numbers since the computer already has them. If the numbers are needed you will be asked to enter them and that is simple.
