Hello, I am having many problems with the Broadcom Wireless adapter that came with my acer. Around every hour it disconnects from my wireless router, and I know the router is working fine. I have to disable and reenable the wireless adapter in my lappy to get it to reconnect to the router, and after another hour it does it once again. Along with that, every so often, it doesnt send or recieve packets very fast, its like its working in extra-slow mode.... Ive downloaded the latest drivers for the adapter from the Acer webpage, and they dont seem to help.... Is there any fix for this problem? Another thing, is this a widespread problem with Broadcom Adapter?

    Thank you,

When a friend Come over, he connects Fine and never gets a disconnect while he is over. I have already tried reseting the router before I came to the conclusion that it is my Adapter.

Is the Power Mgt Setting set to turn off the adapyer? Have you tried another adapter? Does the router have the most current firmware?

No, No, and yes. If i was Unable to resolve this, with The help from this board, and from Acer, then I was going to try a new adapter.

A new adapter would start eliminating possibilites.

Yes, A New Adapter would do that. If I was to get another, It is going to be Linksys, by popular demand.... I feel they are the best, but Both Linksys and Netgear have theyre seperate problems, so... But I will never go with a Broadcom, as seen with the problems Im having here with the one...
