For some reason there are a couple of tabs missing from the "Folder Options" window...(The General & View tabs are missing), heres a pic

Anyways, for the longest time I've been trying to find a fix for this.. ive tried numerous registry tweaks and such, but to no avail...

    Hello Trathus,

    Try this:

Go to Start => Run and type in the following commands. Press Enter after each one. There's a space before and after /i

    regsvr32 /i browseui.dll
    regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

    Restart your computer.

    okay, for regsvr32 /i browseui.dll I got a MsgBox saying it succeeded...
however with regsvr32 /i shell32.dll I did not get any confirmation of it succeeding or anything... should I have?

I have a question Why did you run HijackThis in safe mode?

Are you unable to boot into windows normally?

    Not necessarily.

    Did you restart the computer?

shashibang I see that this is the first post here at TSG and I welcome you to the forum.

There is one or two problems here

One that is not a HijackThis log file.

Two - If you are going to post for a problem a little description of the problem would be good and it should be posted in a thread that you start not in someone else's thread that is going on or just about finished. The reason for this is if the thread you are posting your problem in gets closed or solved nobody will know about your problem.

If you could please start your own thread for this problem it would be easier.

    Thank YOu.
