I have one that is really kicking my ***. When I try to open my computer, my documents, Internet explorer or any file that uses a folder view the window opens then approximately 2 seconds later the window closes by itself. I have cleared all histories ran Norton system works and in the process of running a Virus Scan. The system boots normally desktop shows normal programs work normally but we just have this quark!

It runs Windows Xp 512 megs of RAM and AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1400 MHz CPU Giga-Byte mainboard and 80gig HD.

If anyone has any ideas please feel free to contact me [email protected] thanks again!

Do you have SP1 applied? Which Version Internet Explorer? IF !E 6 SP! you will have the IE repair tool. Try that.

If not, here's a link to an article regarding Repairing IE.

Altrernatively, here's a command line to use to reinstall IE if you have not upgraded .

Go to Start>run

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\ie.inf

Have your Install disk ready. It will ask for it.
