In Win XP (and other "modern" versions of Windows), if you pull up the the Start menu and then right-click on an entry, you get several options, one of which is "Explore", which should open an Explorer window on that part of the file system.

I'm just getting into Win XP and after installing various programs and Microsoft updates, I'm finding that the Explore option no longer works (it doesn't do anything). Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks...

Try right clicking on the start button itself..

Yeah, that's a workaround, but I'd still like to solve the problem.
