I've got Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and my problem is that lately my icons on the desktop are being rearranged for some reason. How do I stop this?

Right click on the Desktop and select 'Arrange Icons By'.

Uncheck everything but 'Show Desktop Icons'.

Go here, download and install 'Icon Restore' (freeware):

    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/iconrestore.html

After installing Icon Restore, arrange your icons the way you want them, right click on My Computer and select 'Save Icon Layout'.

Should your icons then go out of the arrangement you set, right click on My Computer and select 'Restore Icon Layout'.

If you leave Auto Arrange checked, the operating system will arrange the desktop icons in the order that it wants to. Leave everything unchecked as advised, except Show Desktop Icons.

Thanks, that's how I've always had it set.
