Win/XP Unmountable Boot Volume

    Have seen a few suggestions for this problem.

    One says to ensure latest win updates are on - I did that.

    One that worked involved doing a CHKDSK and/or FIXBOOT.

    BUT - after 1 or 2 restarts, the problem recurs.

    Latest Virus scan was clean.

    Possible causes? Thanks

    You might try a system repair. It appears that the boot files are getting corrupted, hard to say why that's happening. It could also be hardware or an application corrupting them.
