We have just had a load of new machines installed. They have win2K professional with CD rewriters and nero CD burning software. The problem is that the CDrewriter is only available to powerusers. The machine only recognises the CD as a CD ROm when logged on as an ordinary user.

    Any suggestions??

Log in as administrator, Right click the CD-RW drive letter and go to the sharing tab. Look under the permissions tab to see who is allowed access at what levels.

    Hi

I can't log on as administrator as I'm don't have access at that level. I have subsequently found that it is a known issue with the nero CD software that administrator access is required. It seems I have to wait for them to fix the bug.

    Thanks for your help though.
