win32-can't open file

    I use windows xp,firefox,when I download somethings such as opera browser,from download.com it downloads,when i try to open,it says not a valid win32 application.What am I doing wrong?appreciate any advice.

    Can be virus / spyware or bad file itself

    First remove all your temporary Internet files
    I also start - run %temp% ok and remove all those too
    Then do a full scan of Antivirus (and spyware scan - I use Ad-aware / Spybots to begin with)
    Then defrag (could be your harddrive files all scattered around)

    Then re-download the file and reply back (yeah that'll take some time !!)
