I've got a similar Trojan that I am unable to locate. Is there anything in this file that looks suspicious?

Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

Have you disabled anything with msconfig?

Where is your anti-virus software? If you need a free one load AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on the download to install the newest version.

Okay....
Java is updated.
I recall following some instructions with MSCONFIG at some point and probably made some changes but I'm not sure what I changed.
Re: anti-virus: the Hijack file above was logged between deleting Semantec and buying McAfee...I was trying everything and deleting anything that looked like it may be messing with Startup. Current HJCK file was taken 10 minutes ago.

Why do you think you have a trojan? I don't see anything in the logs. What symptoms or warnings are you getting?

I can't tell if it's a trojan or not...it may be looking like it could be a registry problem. I've also tried numerous Registry Cleaners (i.e. Registry Mechanic) and nothing seems to fix the problem. In Task Manager - Processes - my SYSTEM file is constantly 99% (over a month now) w/ 248k Memory Usage. As far as symptoms go, I first started noticing a problem about a month ago when my USB ports stopped working and if I unplugged one (ex. Printer) and plugged it back in it woud not recoginze the device. Another strange thing that happens is when I reboot and everyting is restarted I'll get a brief black screen for a few seconds. During some research, I've seen that symption may be a result of a SVCHOST virus or problem.
I've tried to use MSCONFIG and look for suspicious item in the Startup file but can't see anything obvious. There is one that dow not have anything listed in Startup Item or Commend but it shows a location. I've tried to disable a few of the items but I received an Access Denied message.

What you are telling me sounds more like hardware than software/trojan activity.

My action would be to eliminate software first so I would backup my data and do a format and reinstall of the OS.

If the problem continues I would start looking at possible hardware problems.
