    I had a problem running a program.

Ran SFC and it flagged a system file as corrupted or modified.

Backed up that file and then copied another version of that file from a .cab folder on the cdrive.

Now I can't even boot the PC.

NOTE: Awhile back, I upgrade to a big hdrive (Western Digital 60Ghd) which required a bois upgrade to use the bigger drive. So, I wonder if the "corrupted" file was a change need by the big hdrive and I went back to a version prior to the new hdrive.

SOOO, does anyone know the default location for SFC file backups?
Where the file belongs (it was something like user.com, I think)?

    Any other ideas?

I started this thread in the "other software" forum when it was just a balky program, but thought this forum would be better.

    Thanks
