    anyone know the setup switch to bypass windows98 product id and re-install with new registry?

    Is the cd the same as whats installed in the computer now??

    tryin to reload PC for someone who lost her CD & book but has the cab files on PC...
    needs a fresh install

    If you can still boot into windows then the key is in the registry.

    You can right click mycomputer and find the product id. Copy it and do a find in registry. The key is right below the ID.
