    Okay, I took a look at some of my media files: the mp3's didn't specify, but the .wav files indicated that they were pcm format.

    My questions are: what is the full filename of the song? If you double click on the song, does it play?

    okay, so essentially you just need to know how to convert a .wav to an mp3....

    If you google on the keyphrase "wav to mp3" you will get all sorts of hits.

    Good luck,

    I have found that DBPoweramp is very simple to convert from WAV to MP3 and back and it's free. Will also get music into the computer from CD. It adds a right click option so you just right click the music file and select convert to and pick Mp3 in the drop down list and browse to the folder where you want to save it and that's it. Here's the site, you want the second one that says DBPoweramp music converter.

    I have another sound bite,the info on it says Mpg4,Know how to convert this one to Mp3?

    I found Blaze Media Pro (trial ver.) I t worked great on the other files I had,but not the Mpg4. It doesn't show up in the file when I opened it to load it into the program. :/

    I don't really know a lot about this music converting stuff but if you don't find a program to convert the file you could use something called all2wav recorder, another freebie. It will record any sound coming out of the sound card to WAV then you could convert it to MP3. I know that's probablly not the right way to do something like that but just thought I would pass it along.

    I posted your question on Winamps forum and this is what came back.

    Are you using modern or classic skin?
    if classic, try opening winamp.ini in your winamp folder
    then edit the values:
    pe_wx=26
    pe_wy=261
    your playlist disappearing might be because of the fact your playlist in some way has gotten outside your screen
    these values tell winamp where to put the playlist, so it might bring the playlist back...
    for modern skin i think you have to edit studio.xnf, but i do not know exactly which values
    just try (but first make a back-up )
