Something has changed, so that when I open a window it does not fill the screen. I have to drag the corners with the cursor to make it fill the screen so that I can get at the menus such as the reduce and close symbols.
Is there a way to reset this ?

    Hi Conlo,

drag the window to the size you want,
right click in the blue top bar,
    press and hold 'Ctrl',
    in the drop down menu,
click on 'Close' using the mouse.

Next time you open a window it should
be at the size you left it.

Works for me, Regards, John :)
