I am running Win 10, and trying to set a default in:

“Windows Settings, Personalization, Choose a fit, to the "Fill Selection".

When I set it, it goes back to “Tile” all the time after a reboot or when waking up from sleep setting.

How can I make “Fill Mode” the default so it doesn’t go back to “Tile”.

    It's got me baffled.

Can anyone help me. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Your directions to Fill Selection is missing something, Personalization does not directly lead to Choose a Fit ?

After you change it to Fill, click Themes on the left. Click Save theme and give it a name and click Save. Select an older theme and then select the new theme you just created. You won't see anything change (unless you select a theme that's different from the one you have.)

This should prevent any themes from changing the wallpaper fit type as it should save the fill state within your theme. If this fails you may have a problem with writing to the registry.
