There are actually quite a few programs out there to help perform these same functions.

The first one I will mention is ironically called "Free Internet Window Washer" located here :
    http://www.eusing.com/Window_Washer/Window_Washer.htm
I just downloaded this VERY small file (889kb) and it works great, for ALOT of different places that contain history/cache files to be deleted.

Another great one that I also personally use is CCleaner, which is located here:
    http://www.ccleaner.com/
This one I would even suggest over the other, I just found the irony a little to thick to not post the "Window Washer" first. CCleaner, is by far one of the best though, and most trusted. Also, it is another very small file.

And the last one that I will mention, even though there are even more, is ATF-Cleaner, which is located here:
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/atfcleaner.html
I also personally use this, and it works great every time. Once again, an extremly small file, yet so powerful you would never guess.

Hope one of these fits your fancy, whatever that means. :)
