Iwould like to reset my laptop to factory settings. I am unable to download updates and the usual way to reset won't work.

Go download MS Media Creation Tool for Windows 10. Run it to generate a Windows setup USB memory stick. ( a;ll files on the USB will be deleted and replaced with Windows setup files ) Then boot it on the problem machine and then delete all partitions, and let it continue to use the newly freed space.

Susan:

There is a big difference between doing a factory reset and doing a clean install.
Doing a factory reset will revert a computer back to its original condition, which includes the Windows 10 operating system all the apps and bloatware that came in it.
Doing a clean install will install only the Windows 10 operating system.
Afterwards, you will need to install the device drivers and apps that you need or want.

According to your log, you have THIS Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15AST Type 80TR Model 001DUS laptop which was purchased in November 2016 in Canada and came with Windows 10 64-bit.
The numerous links in its support site should be helpful to you.
THIS is the link where you may be able to purchase recovery media for doing a factory reset.

You Run the MS Media Creation Tool from the HDD. It will erase the USB and put Windows setup files on it.
