Ever since I upgraded my Dell XPS 64 bit computer to Windows 10, it has been unable to recognize devices such as Android phones and other USB devices such as external hard drives. In this case, specifically, I am trying to get it to recognize my Google Pixel 3a. I have been through all of the troubleshooting I could find online, including downloading Android Studio and installing Google drivers through it, manually downloading and installing drivers (which tends to throw errors), put the phone in USB debugging mode, tried each possible USB option available on the phone. The only thing that is recognized is pictures when choosing "PTP" on the phone. This is the only thing that makes the phone recognizable and it is only seen as a camera by using this. I am trying to get it to recognize music so I can transfer files without having to go through Google Drive. When in USB debugging mode, I have noticed there is an ADB Driver that appears and shows updated as of 2006. I have also tried uninstalling this driver, but it does not change anything. If I watch this driver however, and reboot the phone while connected, it will change to a Pixel 3a driver briefly before going back to ADB driver. I'm at my wits end here. I think the whole thing might stem from the system being 64 bit but I'm not positive. Is there anything anyone can suggest to help get this working?
