I've been unable to update to Windows 10 ver. 20H2, although i can do the Cumulative Updates for ver 1909. I get error 0xc1900200. I keep reading that this means there is not enough room on the Recovery partition, but there seems to be plenty. I can't figure out what to do. Anybody know?

Please do the following in that computer:
Download and save the tsginfo.exe file.
After it's been downloaded and saved, double-click it to run it.
Information about that computer will appear.
Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE text here.

If that computer has a recovery partition, do NOT mess with it in any way.
A recovery partition has nothing to do with your update issue.

You have THIS HP ENVY 750-175se Custom-To-Order Desktop PC.
It was purchased in 2015 and came with Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit.
Windows 10 Pro Version 1909 Build 18363 64-bit was installed in it in 2019.
My security software, Kaspersky, was not happy to run this
Windows 10 can have various issues when using a third-party antivirus app.
Windows updates failing to install is one of the primary issues.
That's why it's recommended to stick with its built-in antivirus app - Windows Security aka Windows Defender.
Get rid of Kaspersky.
D: 14 GB (1 GB Free)
Do NOT add or remove anything in this partition!

I exited Kaspersky Total Security, & tried to install the update. During the "preparing computer" (or something like that) the prep failed with the message "We couldn't update the system reserved partition.: This is the same thing I had before.
Frank, do you know of particular cases where these same symptoms occur and ridding of K. fixed the problem?

A BIOS update is not going to fix your Windows 10 update issue.
And if the BIOS update fails, you will be left with a non-working PC.

Version 21H1 Build 19043 should be released later this month.
Once it is, you should consider creating new Windows 10 Pro 64-bit install media and then do a "clean" re-install.
Doing that will wipe out all debris and issues in your PC and give it a fresh start.

Thank you Frank. I was VERY disinclined to update BIOS for the very reason(s) you mention. And thanks for the heads up about Build 19043 - I was unaware of that. I think I will wait. We could all (most of us?) use a fresh start now and again.

Here is what the latest A0.59 Rev A bios will do:

Description:
This package provides an update to HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS (ROM Family SSID 2B4B) for supported models running a supported operating system.
Fix and enhancements:
- Updates the Intel microcode 0xC2 for R0/S0 stepping processor security enhancement.

To add to this:

Version 2004 will be out of service in a couple of weeks
Version 20H2 will be out of service in May 2022

So Franks suggestion to wait a couple of weeks will be a better option as support will last until May 2023 I believe.
