If you want to get an early start on installing this bi-annual upgrade, go HERE to obtain the new Media Creation Tool (10.0.17134.1).

It will allow you to obtain the appropriate Windows 10 .ISO file so you can create install media in a bootable USB thumb drive or bootable DVD.

I just installed it with Windows Update. Seems to be working well.

Same here, installed manually via the update assistant tool and no issues.

Windows update & check for updates works well & does the install flawlessly
Took well under 1 hour for mine from starting to look for the download to downloading, installing, rebooting ( I think twice) then a final reboot

Installed it on both of my personal systems [ryzen 1700x and intel 7600k] Both worked fine with no issues so far. The windows.old folder created is about 19gig on both systems.

Some are reporting that if you manually click for updates you will automatically get Windows 10 build 1803. See here:

    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/m/ac2...142ffb7/ss_microsoft-unexpectedly-pushes.html

This should NOT be a part of automatic update Patch Tuesday, if we are still on build 1709 should it? At least not for several months? I thought build 1809 for Windows 10 followed the newest PC's first rollout model. If you get update 1809 and you don't want it, you have ten days to roll back to 1709.

    It is 1803 not 1809
It will be automatically pushed out starting Patch Tuesday 8 May 2018 and you cannot delay it or avoid it

    Dear Users,

Although Windows 10's newest Update, Build 1803 is available now through Windows Update, general users may want to wait until it is offered through automatic Windows Update. The reason for the wait is to insure that your computer and processor are ready for this release, and that any bugs with older computers are squashed. If you update manually, there is no guarantee that Build 1803 may meet the specs with your older equipment. This is even more likely to be true if your computer running Windows 10 has an older processor.

The newest computers will be updated first through automatic Windows Update and than trickle down to older systems beginning next Tuesday, May 8th, 2017. Thanks Derek!

Just installed it. Other than having to re-set all my internet tweaks and turn back off a bunch of services I had disabled, it works great.

I have an older PC, checked for updates yesterday and thought I'd just get it over with .. mistake .. graphics are all messed up, Windows will only use basic driver and won't allow AMD Catalyst control centre to start .. so it's a rollback for me today.

Windows 10 tends to be good about installing drivers for a computer's primary devices(graphic, audio, ethernet, wireless, etc.), but some of them tend to be 2 - 3 years out of date.
That's why I always obtain the most current drivers before I start, so I can update them afterwards.

The graphic device is too old and too weak in some of my Dell's, so I install and use a NVIDIA GeForce graphic card.

The most common complaint so far has been about the Google Chrome browser freezing up the computer.
I use Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, so I haven't had that issue.

So far I've updated to version 1803 on 5 different computers: 4 laptops (either Westmere or Sandy Bridge generation), 1 desktop (a Kabini mini-ITX HTPC build). Besides a few minor issues on some Westmere laptops (e.g. loss of screen brightness control, broken drivers that needs to be reinstalled), they run just as fine as before.

Thank you .. I found that Windows hadn't installed the drivers for my graphics card (maybe thought too old) but I installed them and luckily it's working fine .. so far :)

    You're welcome.
I'm glad to hear you resolved your graphic issue. (y)
