I'm getting the following message:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt <windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Please reinstall a copy of the above file.

I've tried using the Dell Recovery Console CD, but once I get into DOS it asks for a password, is there anyway to bypass this?

TIA

Right now I'm running chkdsk /r, assuming this doesn't work how do I copy NTOSKRNL.EXE off of the installation CD onto the %systemroot%/system32 directory. This is new to me.
