When I go to reinstall WIndows 2k pro it cannot find appwiz.cpl. When i look on the disk, i do find the file. Why does it give me this message when I know the file is there and how can I fix it?

I have the install disk. I wiped the drive because it had so many viruses. I placed the disk in the cd drive and let it run the install process. It then comes up with the cannot find appwiz.cpl message

While you are going thru the install process have the disk (Install) go thru removing the partition, then partition and format the drive while doing the installation

Try this page it might have some good directions
