I know that a feature of Windows 7 is changing the theme from aero to baisc during resource intensive moments particularly games. My question is how can I disable this? I just upgraded from Vista to 7 Ultimate x64bit and I find this very distracting when playing games in windowed mode. This did not occur in Vista when playing games in Windowed mode.
Any program that does not support Aero will change the theme back to basic while running. It is not Vista or 7, but the game. Check for updates from the maker.
If the change is annoying during games, change it before you start.
The thing is none of my games did this when I was running Vista Ultimate x64. Particularly Battlefield: Bad Company 2 never did this on Vista but does it no matter what I do in Win7. It's not so much the change that annoys me but it really limits my alt tabbing abilities (I like the visuals of Windows + Tab).
Also my computer should be more than enough to handle Aero + Games at the same time
Specs:
Well if it is my computer I'd prefer to have at least some control over it, and I'm not worried about performance since I can run pretty much anything (that is optimized well) on nearly max settings.
