Hello. Here's my situation: I bought a new laptop (Compaq CQ58-203SM, http://www.bcgroup-online.com/proiz...-Compaq-CQ58_203SM(C6J02EA)+2GB-Sodimm-18368/), downloaded Windows 7 x64 from a trusted web site (msdnaa), installed it, installed drivers* (chipset, ethernet and network adapter; audio driver was already installed), downloaded all programs, like antivirus (Avira), Google Chrome, etc., updated windows multiple times, but after one boot, it was all messed up: first, Windows loaded extremely slow, second, my network adapter and Avira, were uninstalled, which i noticed in Control Panel, as well as uninstalled Google Chrome, Foxit reader, etc., everything except Ethernet driver and Dropbox. The computer still boots very slowly, and it is dysfunctional. I hope I provided you with enough information. Thanks.

*on Compaq site, there were no drivers for this model for Windows 7, only for Windows 8, but I downloaded these http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...Id=5259206&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4063

The HP Compaq CQ58-203SM (C6J02EA) laptop appears to come with FreeDOS installed.

Where exactly did you download Windows 7 64-bit from?

How did you activate it after it was installed?

I downloaded it from site https://www.dreamspark.com/ , it is legal Windows, but I didn't enter the Product key, since I downloaded it, I didn't have a box. How can I activate it? Do you think that might be the problem?

I installed Chipset, MEI (which I don't know if it installed properly), WiFi adapter, TouchPad, LAN and Card Reader.
For some reason, computer can't install Bluetooth adapter (driver is missing) and Broadcom Wireless LAN nor Atheros Wireless LAN .
I didn't download VGA, I updated it (I think) via Device manager.

After another installation I did yesterday, laptop is again slow, it took hours to do defragmentation (I don't even have much files), it couldn't open other stuff fast, like Google Chrome (after 10 minutes of waiting, I shut it down by pressing the button).

I found the key...it would be stupid to buy a new one. Do you think that's the problem, that my Windows is not yet activated?

did you look at the link I gave earlier and use the W7 64 bit drivers from there for your hardware
the actual computer you have, only came with DOS, but the one I have linked to is exactly the same computer with an intel chipset & W7 or W8

Quite a few companies are selling computers now without an OS or with dos or Linux, to save costs & let the user install an OS of their choice

I did, and I downloaded most of them. Now it won't even start after today's update. It's just black screen with "Starting Windows", and their logo...

Press & hold F8 when you try to boot & select last good option when it appears in the list , see if that solves it
Sounds like you have installed a driver that it doesn't need or that is incompatible with your computer
