Whenever I go to a webpage and try to play games, view videos, or streaming content my system "freezes" every minute or two. I can never watch a video or play a game in its entirety without having to sit through numerous "freezes", or whatever it is. The little spinning icon just keeps going round and round. How can I fix this problem. Anybody know?

Do you have the latest Adobe Flash Player?

Are you having trouble only on the Internet?

How much RAM is on that computer and do you have a 32-bit or a 64-bit operating system? (to find out, press the Windows key + R to open a Run box > type winver and click OK).

    And,

1- Please click HERE to download HijackThis.
    2- Run the program.
3- Click on the Main Menu button if not already there.
4- Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
5- Copy and paste the scan log from Notepad into your next reply.
6- Do not "Fix" anything unless advised to do so.

    For Windows 7 and Vista:

If Windows is denying access to the Hosts file, run HijackThis as Administrator or disable the UAC first.

Having two antivirus programs on the same computer is never a good idea. It will slow down everything and cause freezes. Besides, they will fight one another and even render your computer more vulnerable. I would get rid of McAfee and keep VIPRE. Quite honestly, I would get rid of both and install free excellent alternatives like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira Antivir.

To remove McAfee, first uninstall it from "Programs and Features" and then run the McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool.
