Hi everybody :
Whenever the updates come in..........Internet Explorer won't update. It just says "Internet Explorer Update Failed" I've tried several System Diagnostics.....they all say that there's no problems with Window 7 Operating System. Do I download a "fresh" copy of IE 11, save it in my DOWNLOADS folder ? Delete the current copy of IE 11 ? Then "RUN" the SAVED download of IE 11 ? Advice ? garystan

RE: Windows 7 IE 11 Update :
Just found the reason Internet Explorer won't update. Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7.

MS phased out support for IE10 and previous versions a while back, but where did you see they mentioned IE11 for Win 7?

garystan:

I use Windows 7 SP1 in most of my computers, and also use its built-in Internet Explorer browser.

Windows 7 SP1 is supported by Microsoft until January 2020 and still provides updates for Internet Explorer.

The most current version is Internet Explorer 11.0.95 (11.0.9600.19180)

IE 11 is working on our four Windows 7 computers. (I rarely use it but when I do, it loads up fine; slow but fine.)
I just installed the November, Security only cumulative update, KB4466536

I'd have to search my "history" and find that site. I was one of those tech forum sites.
