I upgraded to windows 7 64 bit, from windows vista 32 bit. when I had windows vista my dvd drives worked fine. both are Dual layer drives, the 2nd one is about 6 months old now.

never had any problems with these drives. after installing windows 7, both drives will read the os disk, and Microsoft office 2007 disk. but will not read any burned disk. I have tons of disk with programs, photos, music, etc.. and they come up as blank. the disk are fine because they load in other computers. I just bought a new linksys router yesterday, the original disk it came with comes up blank as well, but works on other pc's.

not sure if it's because of windows 7 or 64 bit, do I need drivers, firmware, or some kind of update?

    thanks for any help.
