Hi. I was wondering if I set the W7 task scheduler to launch a program at, let's say, 7 pm, but I'm not even on the computer at 7 pm, will the task run the next time I log in? What I'm asking is - does the pc have to be on at the time of the scheduled task?

In the settings tab for the task, you can select
run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed.

To answer your question specifically, yes, the computer must be turned on to run a scheduled task, that is turned on and booted to the Operating system. If it is not turned on you can perform the steps above that Leroys stated to get it running as soon as possible but the computer can t do anything without it running.
