    Does F11 trigger a factory reset ?

Anyways, if the machine is stuck during installation, Windows is only half installed. The only way out is to insert the Windows DVD and re-install.

    Try this:
    1. Insert your Windows 8.1 installation media (DVD or USB flash drive) and reboot the system.
    2. Press any key to boot from the DVD or USB flash drive.
    3. Choose your keyboard layout.
    4. Click "Repair your computer" at the Install now screen.
    5. Click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
    * If you don't have your Windows 8.1 installation media, here are Microsoft's instructions on "How to Download and Create installation media for Windows".
