Windows 98 Default Printer bad

    Here is one for all the pros out there... I have a windows 98 SE system with a default printer. Have tried one on the LPT port and one on a TCP/IP port. Each time I try to print be it in wordpad or note pad I get a "No default printer". There is one there. MS word prints fine.

    Do I have a corrupt printer regestry or what. Having to re-format this system and start over is an option I would rather prevent.....

    Here is the kicker though... I can print to a remote printer on the network. I cannot print to the default in windows using word or note pad....
