Windows 98: Desktop Icons Shifting Around

I am using windows 98 and suddenly one day i find that the dektop icons are automatically shifting around the screen but otherwise the comp is working fine. What could be the problem and how can i solve it . Please advice.

it's a trojan virus

run a complete scan with updated virus patterns/definitions

there's free services available too if you don't have antivirus software
