windows 98 error

when checking out various sites an error mess. appears, line (differs) , char (differs) Error mess. object doesn't support this proporty or methode, "services Lyr" undefined and the code is allways 0. This mess. keeps popping up when closed. Any ideas? P>S> I'm not too smart with computers so I hope this isnt a stupid Question

Can you go here and update to the latest Internet Explorer and Microsoft Java Virtual Machine ?
