When I click on shortcut icon to 'My Computer," it will not open. Message reads that it has performed an illegal operation, bla, bla, blah, and is going to shut down. Same results when I try to open 'My Computer' through the normal (non-shortcut) icon. In short, I can't access Control Panel and so forth. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Gemitra.

That was a fast reply, Bryan. Thanks. My problem is really not opening the Control Panel. I just used that as an example, as that's where I find it in 'My Computer' icon. When I copy down the exact error message, I'll post it for you, and then maybe you can zero in on my specific problem. Thanks again. Gemitra
