windows 98 product key

    where exactly can i find a listing of the product key of my current win. 98 so i can reinstall and use it...???

    i have the same question with win98se. mine is different though. what i would like to know if there is a way to find the key if i was to put my win98se cd in the cd drive and use a command of some kind to extract the key from cd. is this possible or is my disk garbage without the key.

    There is a way to find the key if you don`t wish to use the software suggested, oh by the way, the software suggested is very good. This way, you don`t need to use your cd, all you have to do is go to start/run/type regedit/ click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/ then click on Current Version, the key will be in the right hand pane along with other info.
