I have completely rebuilt an Aptiva because it kept locking up. It previously was running windows 95 and I placed windows 98 SE on the computer. The problem still remains: Computer just freezes randomly. Comments/ Suggestions.

Random errors could be a result of bad memory, if you have multiple dimms I would suggest removing all but one and trying it, if you still get the error try the other one.

What do you mean by "completely rebuilt"? What all was replaced? Are the fans working? The problem may be some program you have.
