First of all Happy New Years to all.

My windows 98 SE hangs when I turn my computer on on the Windows 98 logo it hangs. When I reboot it works. This happened twice this month and first time this month. Never before. Any ideas why and what to do?

Hi..you can check what may be failing to load..
Tap f 8 at start up..choose step by step confirmation..press yes to all..
Also check what is running at start up..start>run>type msconfig click on start up tab..
Let us know what is running..

Happy new year to you too..;)

Click the link that Blues Harp has for HijackThis. Install it in the C:\PROGRAM FILES folder. Make sure all browser windows are closed, then run a scan with it. After the scan is finished, copy-and-paste the entire contents of the log here.

It'll show us what's running in the background, and if any "nasties" are present.
