just a quick question cause I have to leave for awhile.
Did you fdisk and format your drive before trying to install 98?
I beleive me and xp use nfst (?) and 98 needs fat32

WinXP/Win2K/WinNT use the NTFS files system, Win98 FE/SE and WinME use the FAT32 file system. The drive would have to be repartitioned with fdisk or a similar third-party partitioning utility accordingly, then that partition formatted before the install of Win98.
