do you get any message when the pc starts up w/the CD in, or does it just ignore it and go into windows? If it's ignoring it, your CD Drive is probably not set to start-up in BIOS.

You probably need to enter bios setup and make your cdrom drive bootable by selecting cdrom as first boot device, then floppy, then hdd. Leave the disk in the drive and restart the machine

But beaware if it works it will erase everything on the machine and install just what was on it when purchased.

every bios has a way in, usually pressing the DEL or the F8 key after startup, when you see the block cursor blinking in the upper right corner of the screen. Sometimes you even get a message that will come up on the screen while RAM is counting that says "Press DEL to enter setup" . If you're not sure, tell us what brand PC you have, someone here will know which key it is for you.
