I am trying to find out the best swap file settings for my pc. I am running Windows 98 SE, 512 MB ram, and PIII (800 MHz). I really appreciate all of the good information I have been getting from this forum. Thanks guys.

With 512 installed, odds are very good that you are not using the swapfile at all.
Do Start > Run > SYSMON

    Monitor Swapfile InUse (not size)

You will most likely find it zero or close to zero. In which case, just let Windows manage it.
