The icon in the corner the speaker icon it has a cross over it and if you hover over it, it says the audio service is not running and if you right click and click on sounds it comes up with a message saying, this computer cannot play audio because the widows audio service is not enabled. Would you like to enable the Windows Audio Service. Then if you click on yes it brings up the box where you can modify your playback, recording and sounds devices, but there is still a cross over the speaker icon. I am using Windows Vista

    Can anyone help???
