    Hello,

I just discovered that my Windows Automatic Updates Options are greyed-out, although my account has Administrator privileges. The good thing is that the automatically download and install updates option is selected. But before I had selected the second option (automatically download updates but let me choose when to install) and somehow it changed to the first option. Now, for some strange reason, I am not able to change these options - I would like to revert them to the second option..

Secondly, I booted up the computer in Safe Mode - the options were still greyed-out. When I tried to turn off the computer from the Safe Mode I've got an End Program window: "End Program - Sample" for a program that would not end ("Sample"), and I had to end it manually. This does not happen in Normal mode, but it always happens in Safe Mode.

Any idea why these two things happened? I am posting an HJT Log below. Thank you.

    Michael
