I'm trying to create a simple desktop cleanup batch file. What I want to do is to take every file located on my desktop except for a few shortcuts and move them to a certain directory. Does anyone know how to do this?

I'd first try moving everything to the certain directory, and then move the few shortcuts back.

If this doesn't work (maybe because of trying to move Recycle Bin) then write a loop to move each item individually with enough IF's to omit the ones that are to remain.
