Hi any help would be appreciated.
I run windows xp pro with sp3. Recently i installed corel videostudio pro x4 with control panel. I did not like it so i used control panel to uninstall it. which i did. ever since then if i want to use any video editing programs like ulead videostudio 9 the system comes up with"Please wait while windows configure Common".
this prevents the program from being used.(see attachment) I have reloaded Corel videostudio pro x4 in order to see if this would cure the problem but to no avail.

I can identify I cant fix as I dont have working windows xp copy right now
Sounds like your registry is leading you to leftover stuff ms windows xp original uninstaller doesnt remove very well im also not a savvy reg file builder but im sure another person would be happy to build an uninstaller

Thanks for your comment. I suspect that the problem might be in the registry.
So far you are the only one who offered any comment
    Thanks again
