Windows Defender Error Message- HiJack Posted

    PC, Windows XP, Dell.

    Every time I start up my computer, I get the error message:
    Application failed to initialize: 0x800 106ba. A problem caused Windows Defender Service to stop. To start the service, restart your computer or search Help and Support on how to start a service manually.

    I am posting a HiJack log below in case it helps. I am not having any other symptoms, so I don't know if the message is benign or not. Thanks.

    I would try uninstalling Windows Defender, restarting the computer, then reinstalling Windows Defender. Something in the configuration is causing it to fail to load when you start the computer and the reinstall will probably fix it.

    The only other thing I can think of from what you posted is that Norton Anti-Virus (or another anti-spyware program) and Windows Defender are fighting with each other.
