I have recently installed Windows XP Pro (I had several problems while doing so, as it kept freezing mid-installation, but i eventually managed to install it). Anyway, now that I've installed it, it doesn't load upto the welcome screen - it gets to a screen saying "welcome", but doesn't go beyond to the welcome screen with all the user names etc. It only loads in safe mode. Could anyone please help me?

    Hi and welcome to TSG.
Boot from Xp Cd...when prompted press [R]
Choose your Windows installation typically by pressing [1]
Press [Return] when prompted for a password.
    Type..chkdsk /r [note space]
    Press Return.
Windows will fix errors..when finished>type Exit> and press Return.
    Let us know the result.
