Windows doesn't recognize my graphics card, ethernet card, dvd-rom..HELP!

Had to wipe hard drive and reinstall Windows 95 and Windows 98 upgrade. Now Windows doesn't recognize my 3D graphics card or my PCI Ethernet card. I don't have the installation disks for this hardware because I bought the computer used. I found the drivers for both at Drivers.com and downloaded them to a CD. When I try to install the drivers, Windows says that an updated driver could not be located. Also, my DVD-ROM doesn't work anymore. It is only recognized as a cd-rom and only functions as such. Before the Windows reinstall, all hardware worked perfectly, so I know they're all compatible with Windows 98. Where do I go from here?

After you format a hard drive and reinstall Windows from scratch, you need to reinstall the drivers for the hardware devices, such as the display adapter, sound device, and modem.

If you look on the websites for these hardware devices and download and save the driver files, they should be in .EXE format. Double-clicking them will start the install purpose. Once they're installed and you reboot, Windows should associate them with the proper hardware device.

I can't help you with your DVD-ROM drive. Someone else will have to do that.
