Windows explorer closes everytime I right click a file.

    When I right click on a file I get the message that Windows Explorer has stopped working.
    and Windows is checking for a solution. Anyone have a solution?

    first of all, your antivirus is disabled, not a good habit to get into. and how long has it been going on? have you tried a reboot? and do you use a limited account or an administrator account? try downloading malwarebytes and update your antivirus and run a full scan.

    sorry to sound redundant, but did you try the other user account and run the virus and malwarebytes scans? and also run the windows updates, they came out with a lot tuesday. post back with that info and i'll think some more.

    I checked for updates and it said that there are no new updates, last update installed 2/14. no other users.

    you can create one by either going to computer management or the control panel. and how about the scans? try the other account first since it only takes about five minutes. if that's it you should still run the scans, that should be a monthly thing to prevent problems.
